Women in Jordan: empowered or handicapped? : [results of a survey]

The core of this book is based on two surveys that were conducted in 1999 through Al Kutba Institute for Human Development in collaboration with around 60 women activists from all over the Kingdom, with support of the Konard Adenauer Foundation. Although the subjects of concern for women that were explored in these surveys range from health and family to politics and law, they were all investigated with the understanding that every single behavior is politicsl, as soon as personal concerns and problems are viewed as reflections of general societal issues, and act on the basis of this perception.
