The “General Assembly” meeting of the Lebanese women married to non-Lebanese (Foreigners)
The “Nationality Campaign” (My Nationality is a right for me and my family) organized a “General Assembly” meeting for a number Lebanese women married to non-nationals.
The meeting was held at the YWCA premises, Ain El Mreisseh, on Friday June 24, 2012.
Eighty women, from various Lebanese regions along with their children and husbands participated in this meeting which was also attended by media figures and CSOs activists.
The discussions at the meeting focused on the extent to which this campaign had been successful in achieving its goals/demands, in addition to a series of discussions around subsequent advocacy activities aiming at reforming the current Nationality Law.
